March 12 – Nic and Sarah Johnson ‘Gardening for bees’
Nic and Sarah, from Cheshire, are going to talk about nectar, pollen, plants and trees. They have won many trophies at both the Royal Cheshire and Cheshire County Shows over the years. There will be honey to taste and buy. _______________________________________________________________
April 9 – Tom and Jenny Williams ‘The Laundry Garden’-
The story so far’ From 2008 we have been developing our 3-acre garden in Denbighshire from a blank slate to an established garden. We will be outlining the development of our garden rooms, their elements, and the stories behind each of them. Thanks to a highly engaged Instagram following, the garden has been featured on Gardeners World, The English Garden and Country Living. ________________________________________________________________
May 14 – Barry Grain - Cholmondeley Magnolias
Barry joined Cholmondeley as Head gardener in February 2013, where he works closely with the Cholmondeley family in the continued development of the garden and its plant collections. During his career he has worked in a number of gardens, designed gardens at RHS Chelsea and Tatton Park flower shows, run specialist plant nursery Rosemeade, and is currently a panel member for the Helenium plant trial at RHS Bridgewater.

July 9 -Imogen Harrison of Firs Flower Farm, Helsby ‘Blooming Beginnings: My Journey into Flower Farming’
Imogen has been flower farming for 3 years. She will take us through the birth of the idea, finding her land, planning the flower farm business and getting it ready for the first season. She will finish by doing a small floral bowl demo whilst taking questions.

August 13 – Matt Wood Hostas
Matt will talk about the care and cultivation of Hostas. It will be an all-round talk about this wonderfully diverse species that is so much more than slug fodder and very adaptable! And yes, he will talk about slug control and answer any other questions you may have!

September 10 – Sally Parkinson – Bulb Lasagne demonstration
Sally will demonstrate planting a bulb lasagne, with hints and tips on choosing containers, planting media and bulbs to plant with some recipes for you to have a go with at home.

October 8 – Lucy Brewster Director of Foxhill Retreat House and Arboretum
Lucy will share something of the history of Foxhill, the Arboretum and Woodlands- over 70 acres. Included in that are some rare trees which are part of a world-wide conservation project. She will also talk through some of the story of the gardens and grounds and plans for the future.

November 12 – Peter and Doug Gould-Cheshire Saffron
Brothers Pete and Doug live locally in Cuddington and produce Cheshire saffron in local fields. They have gained a Great Taste Award and featured on BBC’s Countryfile programme. They will talk about their journey so far and their future plans. They will bring some of their produce to sell-maybe a Christmas idea?

December 10 - Samantha Hopes - Hellebores
Samantha, from the award winning nursery Ashwood Nurseries Kings Winsford in the West Midlands, will share her expertise with tips on getting the best out of this lovely group of plants. We will also celebrate the festive season with mince pies and mulled wine.
